For as little as $110 a week, your child will receive a full day of math and reading skill development, enrichment, nutritious food and fun!

Who can attend this program?
The Summer Learning Experience program is for children who will be in kindergarten through 5th grade (classes will be organized by grade level) in the fall of 2013. All students are welcome, regardless of what town they live in or what school they attend. Special education student participation is voluntary, however these students will not be afforded the same level of support/services that they receive during the school year or in Extended School Year.
How much does this program cost?
Only $110 per week! The Summer Learning Experience program will cost $440 for each 4-week session for all current Valley View residents. The program will cost $500 for each 4-week session for those who live outside Valley View’s attendance area. Payment plans are available. Please see the registration form for details.
Where will this program be located?
The program will be held at five convenient locations:
(Out-of-district residents will be assigned to schools based on enrollment needs.)
- Hermansen Elementary School - for current Hermansen and King students
- Hill Elementary School - for current Hill, Skoff, and K-2 Bilingual Education students
- McGee Elementary School - for current McGee, Independence and Oak View students
- Pioneer Elementary School - for current Pioneer students
- Ward Elementary School - for current Ward, Tibbott, Wood View and Salk students
What about transportation & before/after school care?
Transportation to and from Summer Learning Experience will not be provided this year. Before-school care starting at6:45 am, and after-school care ending at 6:00 pm will be available for an additional fee (contact designated care program at your school for more information).
How do I sign up?
Mail in or return the registration form and payment to your child’s home school or the VVSD Administration Center now. After your payment is processed, you will receive additional information and an enrollment package prior to the first day of the program.

The following organizations will provide Before & After School Care for an additional cost*.
Before School Care runs from 6:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. After School Care runs from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

¿Quién puede asistir a este programa?
El programa Experiencia de Aprendizaje de Verano es para niños que estarán en kindergarten y hasta 5º grado en el otoño del 2013. Todos los estudiantes son bienvenidos, sin importar en que ciudad viven o a cual escuela asisten. La participación de estudiantes en educación especial es voluntaria, sin embargo a estos estudiantes no se les podrá dar el mismo nivel de apoyo/servicios que reciben durante el año escolar o en el programa de Año Escolar Extendido.
¿Cuánto cuesta este programa?
¡Solo $110 por semana! El programa Experiencia de Aprendizaje de Verano tiene un precio de $440 por cada sesión de 4-semanas para todos los que actualmente son residentes de Valley View. El programa tiene un precio de $500 por cada sesión de 4-semanas para los que viven fuera de el área de asistencia de Valley View.

¿Habrá transportación y cuidado antes/después de la escuela?
Este año no se proporcionará transportación hacia y de el programa Experiencia de Aprendizaje de Verano. Cuidado antes de la escuela iniciando a las 6:45 am, y cuidado después de la escuela terminando a las 6:00 pm estará disponible a un cargo adicional (póngase en contacto con el programa de cuidado designado en su escuela para más información).
¿Cómo me registro?
Envíe por correo o regrese el formulario de registración y su pago a la escuela de su hijo/a o a Centro de Administración VVSD para el 28 de marzo. Después de que su pago sea procesado, usted recibirá información adicional y un paquete de inscripción antes del primer día del programa.
