I registered my child and received a notice that has the wrong grade level. What do I do?
Students are placed in the grade level in which they were enrolled for the 2011-2012 school year. Their placement is viewed as a continuation of the school year, addressing their current instructional needs, and subsequently, moving forward with skills that will prepare them for their next grade level.
I forgot when the sessions take place as well as the hours each day. Can you help?
Session One runs from June 18 to July 13. The other is July 16 to Aug. 10. Daily hours are 8:15 to 3:30.
How will breakfast and lunch work?
Breakfast and lunch will BOTH be provided free of charge for all Summer Learning Experience attendees. Breakfast is served from 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. for SLE attendees and 8:30 to 8:40 a.m. for community members under age 18 who are not enrolled in SLE. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to noon for morning-only SLE attendees and from 12-12:30 p.m. for afternoon-only and all-day SLE attendees. Community members under age 18 will eat lunch from 11-11:15 a.m. This free meal program is paid for through a federal grant.
Will special needs students be a part of the Summer Learning Experience?
Yes, However, it should be noted that students will not be afforded the same level of support services that they receive during the school year because participation in this program is voluntary. Special education students who were identified as needing classroom aide support will be assigned to Hermansen Elementary School.
For children who are bilingual, will their needs be met?
Yes, The instructions and activities in reading and math for students who are limited in English will look very similar to those provided during the regular school year. For grades K-2, the bilingual component of Summer Learning Experience will be housed at Skoff Elementary School.

Olvidé cuando son las sesiones, al igual que los horarios diarios. ¿Me puede ayudar?
Sesión Uno corre del 18 de junio al 13 de julio. La otra es del 16 de julio al 10 de agosto. El horario diaries de 8:15 a 3:30.
¿Cómo trabajará el desayuno y almuerzo?
Tanto el desayuno como el almuerzo serán proveídos GRATIS para todos los asistentes del programa Experiencia de Aprendizaje de Verano (SLE). Desayuno se servirá de 8:15 a 8:30 a.m. para los estudiantes de SLE y de 8:30 a 8:40 a.m. para los miembros de la comunidad menores de 18 años que no estén inscritos en SLE. ¿Los estudiantes con necesidades especiales podrán ser parte de la Experiencia de Aprendi-zaje de Verano?
Si, aunque debe tener en cuenta que ya de que la participación a este programa es voluntaria, los estudian-tes no recibirán el mismo nivel de apoyo que reciben durante el año escolar. Estudiantes de educación especial que fueron identificados con necesidad de apoyo de un asistente de salón de clases, serán asigna-dos a la Escuela Primaria Hermansen.
¿Se cumplirán las necesidades para los estudiantes en el programa bilingüe?
Si, la enseñanza y actividades en lectura y matemáticas para estudiantes con ingles limitado, serán muy similares a las que se proveen durante el año escolar regular. Para grados de K-2, el componente bilingüe del programa Experiencia de Aprendizaje de Verano será asignado a la Escuela Primaria Skoff.
